Adopt a Hydro

Our planet needs us to do a better job of taking care of it and we all need to eat better so E2A is launching our Adopt a Hydro Project. Adults with autism can adopt a small unit and grow vegetables to share with others in the community. We believe that this is the start of something really amazing both for our adults with autism and for our diets!

Thank you to Laura over at SUMC for the vegetable seed donation! I look forward to sharing the harvest with all of you once we get going. If you know someone with autism that would like to adopt a hydro please let us know by calling 727-710-0649. The hydroponic systems are small 5 gallon buckets with a small basket in the top that allows the plants to grow quickly and without soil. These are no fuss, no mess systems that we’d love to share with more people! 82BFFBAD-7CC3-4C59-93F9-557FCA07DA49

  1. Autism Awareness Shop and Vocational Training Center is in the process of creating a greenhouse that will be used to train our “friends” on the spectrum on growing techniques and to instill healthy eating concepts. We sure would love some advice and “connections” from you. I think it would be great to incorporate hydroponic gardening in our initiative as well.
